My hometown, Austin, is a very eclectic and adventurous foodie town. The town has many award winning and excellent young chefs.  An example of the hot new restaurants is a Texas BBQ/Asian mash-up, run by Aaron Franklin of Franklin’s BBQ and Tyson Cole of Uchi.  Both are James Beard winners.  So let’s have a little fun.  Piperade with Seared Shrimp, Chorizo, Vegetables; Bosc Pear Carpaccio, Micro-greens, Shaved Romano, and Balsamic Salad; Butter-Roasted Scallops with Chile de Arbol and Tequila Sauce; Espresso-rubbed Pork Tenderloin with Pomegranate Sauce served over Butternut Squash and Spinach; Coffee Panna Cotta with Mango Yolk
